The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) Hemp Program has started inspections and engaging in new enforcement over hemp growers and handlers, sending out letters of advisement to individual licensees. If you receive a letter of advisement, you may be in violation.
ODA is currently requesting company records to check for compliance and reviewing hemp product sales and company websites for potential violations of licensing, recordkeeping, and testing requirements, as well as sales of unlawful products.
Those who have received compliance violation letters are required to respond.
